Server Upgrade
We're moving the entire Qango network to a bigger server to allow for further expansion, and the addition of some new features and upgrades to our existing sites.
Initially, we're simply going to move everything over to the new server as it is, and test it for a few weeks to iron-out any problems, and to make sure we have the server optimised to make the best of its resources.
Once we've got everything working as well as it can, we're going to begin a series of upgrades to the smaller directories, and other areas of the network:
Name Changes - Rename our smaller directories so they can be accessed by their subject name, e.g.; autos.qango.com, business.qango.com, etc.
Software Upgrades - Update our smaller directories to use the newer software we have running on our main directory.
Expanded GSR - Add the 'Guaranteed Site Review' system to our smaller directories to allow for expedited reviews.
Chat Forums - Upgrade the forum software to W3T, a fast and easy to use MySQL based application that offers many more features and is much easier to use.
New Directories - We've got plans for a few more directories to add to the network, and we'll announce the details when we launch them.
We'll post details of how the server move is going in the Qango Chat Forums, and if you experience any problems with using any parts of our network over the next few weeks, please let us know.
