New SQL Ad-Server
We're installing a new SQL advertisement management package to replace our overworked WebAdverts scripts.
This upgrade is a giant leap from the current technology and uses a fast SQL driven database to enable us to serve ads across our entire network from a single control point.
The new package will allow us to setup a single account and serve multiple ads to over 400+ targeted zones around Qango. In addition we will be able to offer new targeting features including:
- Multi-Site Coverage - A single account, with single/multiple ads can now be targeted to any of our seven sites
- Keywords & Phrases - Our search results and category pages will use the search term or category name and match specific keywords for your ads
- Domain Targeting - Using domain matching, ads can be served to visitors browsing from specific domains, such as .com, .co.uk, .gov, .net, .org, etc.
- Date & Time Selection - Ads can be targeted for specific dates, days, and time of day.
- Browser Targeting - Target ads to selected browsers, NN, MSN, IE, AOL, Lynx, etc.
- OS Targeting - Target ads to selected operating system, Unix, Windows, Mac, SunOS, Linux, etc.
The software has been tested for stability at over 8.5 million impressions per month and offers more detailed statistics than we've ever had before.
Once we have the network completely converted to the new ad-server, we'll be updating our brochure to reflect the new zones and options available.
